Jack Dadswell

Jack Dadswell

Our first new recruit for 2022 is Jack Dadswell! We met Jack a few years ago when we hosted our first BBQ School in London and he has become a great friend and supporter of the brand ever since!

Follow his cooking adventures on here - where you'll find him cooking up a storm with Dexter, and we're sure you'll agree little Dexter is the star of the show!

Here Jack introduces himself and tells us a little more about his journey into BBQ 👇

I’m Jack I’m from London but now on the east Kent coast in sunny Margate.

I started bbqin’ around 6 years ago when I moved into my 1st house. What started off with a £20 grill from the supermarket has evolved into quite the hobby. In the early lockdown days I found myself furloughed and this allowed me to practice more and try a lot of things I wouldn’t have normally had time to try and my confidence grew and a unknown creative side appeared. My 4 year old son has taken a real interest in bbq over the last year and it’s only ignited my passion even more showing him the ropes. He’s helped me cooked everything from smashed burgers to briskets.

I started using A&O rubs fairly early on when I was looking for a better option to keep making my own seasoning. What I love is the huge range of flavours from around the world, you are pretty much catered for where ever you want your tastebuds to eat. It’s hard to choose my one favourite but what I use the most is a 50/50 mix is dirty cow and Texas steak on anything beef, sweet bones and bacon goes on pretty much anything from ribs to mac n cheese and Chinese takeaway with Thai-ger sweet chilli makes a great crispy chilli beef. Oh and don’t get me started on how good their rum is!

I was absolutely buzzing when they asked me if I wanted to become an ambassador. To go from a fan of the products to part of the team is an honour.
