Fries with That Mussels with Cider

Steamed cider mussels with crispy bacon, leeks & a creamy kick, finished with a fiery sprinkle of chilli and herbs. Don’t forget the crusty bread and seasoned fries on the side!

ingredients

  • 2 Handfuls Fresh Mussels
  • 1 Tsp Fries with That Seasoning
  • 75g Smoked Bacon Lardons
  • 1 Leek
  • 70ml Cider
  • 70ml Cream

To Garnish:

  • Chopped Chilli
  • Parsley
  • Spring Onion

Directions

  1. Clean and debeard mussels. If any mussels are open, discard.
  2. Sauté bacon until browned, add leeks to soften and add teaspoon of Fries With That Seasoning.
  3. Add mussels and cider, pop lid on until mussels have opened (2-3minutes).
  4. Add cream and cook for 1 minute.
  5. Top with chopped parsley, chopped chilli and spring onion.
  6. Serve with crusty bread and fries coated with Fries with That Seasoning.
