Nashville Air Fryer Chicken

Dive into the bold flavours of Nashville with this crispy air fryer chicken! Seasoned with Hella Nashty spices, it’s perfectly paired with crispy fries, refreshing corn on the cob, tangy coleslaw, and zesty pickles. A flavour-packed feast that’s sure to satisfy!

ingredients

  • 1 whole chicken, jointed
  • 200ml buttermilk 
  • Hella Nashty seasoning 
  • 250g potato starch
  • 200g plain flour
  • 200ml vegetable oil
  • Fries
  • Fries with that seasoning
  • Glazed and confused BBQ sauce 

To serve: Corn on the cob, coleslaw, pickles

Directions

  1. Heat the air fryer to 220°C. In a large bowl, mix the buttermilk with 2 tbsp of Hella Nashty seasoning. Add the chicken pieces and marinate for a couple of hours, or overnight if possible.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine the potato starch, flour, and 2 tbsp of Hella Nashty seasoning. Remove the chicken from the buttermilk, shaking off the excess, and dredge each piece in the flour mixture, pressing firmly to coat.
  3. Place the chicken in the air fryer and cook for 20 minutes, turning halfway through for even crispiness.
  4. While the chicken cooks, heat the vegetable oil in a pan with 2 tbsp of Hella Nashty seasoning. Bring to a boil, then set aside.
  5. Once the chicken is done, remove from the air fryer and toss in the spiced oil. Cook the fries according to package instructions and season them with 'Fries with That' seasoning.
  6. Serve the chicken with the seasoned fries, drizzled with Glazed and Confused BBQ sauce. Add corn on the cob, coleslaw, and pickles on the side.
