Crispy Duck Noodles

Pair the sweetness of Char Siu with stir-fried noodles and delicious crispy duck and you have yourself one hell of a meal! The Char Sui seasoning brings some big Chinese flavours to the table and you can dial it up even more with a drizzle of our Chilli Crisp Oil.

  • 2 duck breasts, skin on
  • 2 tbsp Char Siu Seasoning 
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 200g egg noodles
  • 2 spring onions, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • Pak Choi
  • Fresh coriander to garnish

Directions

  1. Score the skin of the duck breasts in a crisscross pattern, then rub generously with the Char Siu seasoning, pressing it into the skin and meat.
  2. Make the glaze: In a bowl, mix the honey and soy sauce, then brush over the duck.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium heat and place the duck breasts skin-side down. Cook for 6–8 minutes until the skin is crispy and golden. Flip and cook the other side for 4–5 minutes, drizzling over the sweet glaze a couple of minutes before the end of cooking. 
  4. Cook the egg noodles according to the packet instructions, then drain and toss with 1 tsp sesame oil.
  5. Heat some more sesame oil in a wok or large pan over high heat and add the garlic, stir fry until fragrant, then add the noodles to the wok with the hoisin sauce, tossing everything to coat evenly.

Plate everything up and finish with a drizzle of Chilli Crunch Oil.
