Double-Patty Smash Burgers

The classic double-stacked burger with a crispy edge and melty cheese. Seasoned with Montreal Steak & Burger seasoning, these are smash burgers done right, all from your air fryer.

ingredients

For the Burgers:

  • 500g ground beef (20% fat ideally)
  • 2 tbsp Montreal Steak & Burger seasoning
  • 4 slices American cheese4 slices crispy bacon

To assemble:

  • 2 toasted burger buns
  • 2 ripe tomatoes, sliced
  • Dill pickles, sliced
  • Burger sauce (ketchup, mustard, pickle juice and mayo mixed)

Directions

  1. Mix the beef mince and Montreal Steak & Burger seasoning together in a bowl.
  2. Shape the beef into four balls. Preheat the air fryer to 200°C.
  3. Press each patty flat, so they are a bit bigger than your buns, season again with another dusting of Montreal Steak & Burger then pop them in the Air fryer. Cook for 3-4 minutes per side, until crispy and brown. Top each with cheese for the last 30 seconds to melt.
  4. Stack each bun with burger sauce, tomato slices, pickles, a patty and the second patty. Top with crispy bacon and the bun lid.

Dig into that double-patty goodness. Serve with loaded fries and more sauce!
