Montreal Smash Burger

This Montreal Smash Burger & Fries starts with two beef mince smashed patties seasoned with our Angus & Oink Montreal Steak & Burger Seasoning, seared on a screaming-hot griddle to build a deep, caramelised crust. Crowned with cheddar, Red Leicester and chilli cheese, then sandwiched in a buttery, toasted brioche bun slathered in our signature burger sauce, it’s a flavour explosion in every bite. Don’t skimp on the fresh Little Gem lettuce, juicy tomato slices or a side of golden fries for the ultimate smash burger experience.

Montreal Steak & Burger Seasoning buzzes with dill and garlic, lifted by sweet pickle notes and finished with oregano, coriander and caraway for a peppery kick, your secret weapon for next-level smash burgers.

  • 250g beef mince
  • 1-2 tbsp Angus & Oink Montreal Steak seasoning
  • 1 brioche bun
  • 3 slices cheese, we did Cheddar, Red Leicester and Chilli cheese.
  • 2 tbsp burger sauce
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 4 slices of tomato
  • 2-3 Little gem lettuce leaves

Directions

  1. Mix the Angus and Oink Montreal seasoning with the mince and divide into 2 balls. 
  2. Butter and toast the brioche bun, crispy edges or nothing.
  3. Smash the patties onto a screaming hot pan, press them down hard, and season with Montreal Steak and burger. Let that crust do its thing.
  4. Flip, crown with cheese, add a drop of water and cover for extra juicy patties, let the cheeses melt.
  5. Sauce up the bun, add tomato and lettuce, stack the patties, and admire your masterpiece.
