Shish Kebabs

Hot off the grill! These tasty kebabs are marinated in our shawarma seasoning for maximum flavour, with a cool and creamy Garlic Butter yoghurt stepping in to cool things down. Serve with pickled chillis, salads and flatbreads for a seriously satisfying meal.

ingredients

  • 3 sirloin steaks, cut into cubes
  • 3 tbsp Shawarma seasoning
  • Dash of oil
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Red onion, cut into chunks

For the garlic yoghurt sauce:

  • 150g tub of Greek yoghurt
  • 2 tbsp Garlic Butter seasoning
  • Squeeze of lemon juice

To serve: pickled chillis, jalapenos, lettuce, sliced red onion, fries.

Directions

  1. Place the cubed sirloin in a bowl with the shawarma seasoning. Add the onion, oil and lemon juice and use your hands to coat the meat thoroughly. Cover and place in the fridge for 2-4 hours. 
  2. Mix the Greek yoghurt, garlic butter seasoning and lemon juice together in a bowl and set aside in the fridge until ready to use. 
  3. Thread the marinated meat and red onion onto skewers. Sprinkle with a little more Shawarma seasoning, then cook in a pan or on the BBQ for around 8-10 minutes until nicely browned. 
  4. Serve on plates with flatbreads, the garlic yoghurt and your choice of toppings.
