This is a rub that PitBoss has wanted to created for a while now, but you know A&O aren't about to create just another Cherry Rub, so our Willy Wonka of the Spice Factory got busy and created our very own Cherry Kola BBQ Rub!
Developed with only one thing in mind COLOUR!! This rub is sweet with a little bit of Chipotle heat, the tang of the sour cherry makes it perfect for pork or beef!

I used Angus & Oink Cherry Crush Rub on pork and beef this weekend. The first thing you notice is the rich colour it gives the meat, deep red and smoky after grilling. The flavour balance is clear. The sour cherry notes stand out first, followed by a gentle chipotle warmth and sweet glaze that does not overwhelm. It works on pulled pork, ribs or steaks, but I found it especially good on pulled pork where the fruitiness cut through the fat. The sweetness enhances caramelisation, and the spice keeps it interesting.
The star of the show on the Christmas gammon which was smoked with hickory and cherry woodchip. Very obvious cherry taste to the rub, nice balance of salt and sweetness to it. Also works well on bacon. Definitely a go-to flavour now.
