Inspired by the meaty, peppery juicy steaks of Texas this rub just begged to be made. Five types of aromatic peppers, three salts and two types of garlic, this rub delivers a textural and flavour journey for your pallet.
To avoid charring, season in the latter stages of cooking allowing the heat from the meat to absorb the flavours. Our top tip is to season the board when you cut the meat to add an extra flavour BOOM!

Bought the Texas Steak Rub for a barbecue, and now my family looks at me like I’ve secretly hired a Texan pitmaster to live in the shed. Sprinkle it on a steak, throw it on the BBQ, and suddenly you’re the person everyone stands around pretending to “help” while waiting for food.
The flavor is ridiculous — rich, smoky, peppery, and dangerously moreish. It somehow makes even an average supermarket steak taste like it has a backstory and a passport stamp from Texas.
Best of all, it’s idiot-proof. No measuring, no mixing, no pretending to understand spice ratios. Just shake, cook, and accept compliments you probably don’t deserve.

If Angus & Oink ever stop making this rub, I’ll be outside their headquarters with a barbecue and a protest sign.
