This Zhoug seasoning was developed with inspiration from our time in the Middle East. Pungent cardamom & coriander, freshness, green and herbaceous but with a kick of chilli.
Use our Zhoug Seasoning to season chicken, seafood, flatbread or to make a spicy salad dressing.

Apply an even coating, use at approximately 3-5% meat weight. Apply rub to moist surface at least 1 hour prior to cooking and allow to soak in. This can also be mixed with olive oil and lemon to form a paste. Mix with yoghurt for the most excellent kebabs.
Cook away from direct heat where possible to avoid over-charring.

Salt, coriander, parsley, jalapeño, cumin, cardamom, clove, garlic, sugar, black pepper, lemon powder, caraway seeds, cumin seeds.
On the second pot of this rub, love the herbs and slight hit of heat combination. Fantastic on a couple of chicken breasts chargrilled and sliced over a mixed leaf salad with crumbled feta cheese and a pomegranate molasses dressing drizzled over the top.
we use this for chicken kebabs. It's similar to Shawarma but a little lighter and headier. I've also used it to lift a coleslaw and imagine it would work very well in olive oil to dip soft bread into.
