Montreal Burger Bowl

Meet the burger bowl that smashes all the rules. It’s everything you love about a stacked, messy, unapologetically bold burger, rebuilt into a vibrant, feel‑good feast. The beef gets the full Montreal treatment, bringing that iconic peppery, smoky swagger, while the Mac Daddy seasoning is whisked into an outrageously good burger sauce that ties the whole thing together.

ingredients

  • Wedges
  • Sprinkle of Mac Daddy Seasoning
  • Oil for cooking
  • 500g minced beef
  • 2 tbsp Montreal Burger Seasoning
  • 1 head Romaine Lettuce
  • Handful of plum or cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 100g grated cheese
  • Pickles
  • Diced red onion

Burger sauce:

  • 3 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tsp Mac Daddy seasoning
  • Dash of pickle juice

Directions

  1. Heat the oven, spread the wedges on a tray and bake until golden and crispy. Remove from the oven, season with a little Mac Daddy to bolster the flavour and keep warm whilst you build the rest of the bowls.
  2. Heat some oil in a pan and add the beef in small chunks, letting it sear until nicely browned (around 3-4 minutes).
  3. Flip the beef and brown the other side, then break it up into juicy chunks right in the pan. Hit it with the Montreal Burger seasoning and let it cook for another minute so all that bold, peppery flavour melts straight into the meat.
  4. To make the sauce: Stir everything together until smooth, taste, and adjust the Mac Daddy to your preferred level of swagger. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes, then drizzle generously over your burger bowl.
  5. To assemble, place a layer of crisp lettuce into bowls. Pile on the warm Montreal‑seasoned beef, then scatter over the tomatoes, cheese, pickles, red onion and wedges. Finish with a generous drizzle of burger sauce and serve immediately while everything’s fresh and vibrant.
