A fabulous Middle Eastern take on a meatballs recipe, you can use minced goat or lamb for this, both will taste equally amazing!
Ingredients
-
500g minced lamb (or goat)
- 1 small Onion, very finely chopped
- 3 cloves Garlic, minced
- Good handful Flatleaf Parsley, chopped (or 1tbs dried Parsley)
-
3 tbsp of Shawarma rub
- 1tbs Lemon Juice
- Salt/Pepper to taste
-
Flat breads
Directions
Simply mix all the ingredients together in a bowl - this can be done in a food processor if you like, but we prefer just doing it with our hands in the bowl. Knead the mixture for a while like you would bread dough, this will break down the texture of the minced lamb and help your meatballs stay together.
Form your meatballs and form around skewers, placing in fridge to help set the meatballs.
Meanwhile light bbq and bring up to med heat, approx 180ºc (or med hot oven grill)
Grill your kebabs, turning every so often until internal hits 70ºc.
Remove from heat and set aside to rest for 5-10 mins.
Serve your lamb meatballs on flatbreads with fresh mint, coriander, chillis, garlic mayo and your favourite chilli sauce.
